The member of ICMP visits the monument of martyr

The member of ICMP( the international commission on missing persons) Mrs. Senia Shuaikah visited the exhibition of establishment in the monument of martyr to see the crimes of Baath party (the former regime), which are authenticated in the exhibition and she also watched the martyrs’ heritage and the means of torture, which were used by that regime in its prisons. The Vice-president of establishment Mr. Faris Borwari, and the members of care council: Mr. Nasir Shalan, Mr. Ayoob Kassim, and Dr. Faisal Alsaraf accompanied her in the roving. After their roving; they held a meeting to debate the subject of the mass graves in Iraq because of that the establishment is the only official body in Iraq which is care with the martyrs’ families of which facilitates the commission’s work with identification the victims of the mass graves, So the role of the establishment will be the coordination with the families of victims to take samples from the DNA and compares it with the corpses of the mass graves. On his part Mr. Borwari emphasized on the establishment’s readiness for cooperation with the commission or any authority which is work on showing the martyrs’ case. It is mentioned that the establishment was participated in festivals and conferences about the mass graves; in addition to that the establishment is working on signing an understanding memorandum with the ministry of human rights to find the different ways for comparing the samples of (DNA) through directing all of its directorates in Iraq to collecting the information from the families of victims. Also there is an agreement with the ministry of planning with preparing a form turn in from the victims’ families. He also talked about comparing the census in the time of the former regime with the current time. She showed the supporting of the commission to the establishment through training the establishment’s staffs to work in this field because of their organization has a wide experience, and also participating in the activities of the establishment.
