Vice-president meets the chief of Iraqi program of ICMP

Vice-president of establishment, Mr. Faris Borwari received the chief of Iraqi program of ICMP Jonathn Meksekel for discussing the subject of the mass graves in Iraq because of that the establishment is the only official body in Iraq which is care with the martyrs’ families, the victims of the Baath regime of what facilitates the work of the committee in defining the identity of the victims of mass graves. So that the establishment’s role will be coordination with the martyrs’ families to take samples from them and compares it with the corpses of the mass graves. On his part Mr. Borwari emphasized on the establishment’s readiness for cooperation with the committee or any authority which is work on showing the martyrs’ case. It is mentioned that the establishment was participated in festivals and conferences about the mass graves in addition to that the establishment is working on signing an understanding memorandum with the ministry of human rights to find different ways for compares the samples of (DNA) through directing all of its directorates in the provinces to collect the information from the martyrs’ families. He also mentioned that there is an agreement with the ministry of planning with preparing a form turn in from the victims’ families. He also talked about comparing the census in the time of the former regime with the current time. Meksekel showed his support to the establishment through training the establishment’s staffs to work in this field because of their organization has a wide experience.
